My main research is in the areas of quantum information and foundations of quantum mechanics. Among other things, I’ve done work on discrete Wigner functions, non-locality, contextuality and quantum communication complexity. I am also interested in different models for quantum computation, especially measurement-based quantum computation.
I have written a short book about quantum computing (in Portuguese), at a very introductory level, aimed at a general non-technical audience.
A complete list of my scientific publications can be found here.
Currently I am supervising PhD student Raphael Dias on a project on measurement-based quantum computation, and PhD student Daniel Jost Brod on a project studying the relationship between quantum statistics and classical simulability.
