A recent paper by student Daniel Brod and Ernesto Galvão (and collaborators) has just been published in Nature Photonics. This work, together with other recent experimental realizations of a special-purpose quantum computer that solves the so-called boson sampling problem, has been reviewed in a number of science news websites: Revista Pesquisa Fapesp, Science, Nature, Physics World, Physics Today, New Scientist. The work is a collaboration with the groups of Fabio Sciarrino and Paolo Mataloni (Rome) and Roberto Osellame (Milan).
